I remember staring at the sea

On a certain sun-filled day, we returned to California

and stopped to rest near the ocean shore.

I peered through the screen of an Airstream trailer,

and absorbed the calm with my camera, while Josh slept peacefully.

A Most Stylish Way to Develop Film.

I recently came across a batch of these vintage Film Processing envelopes, and they stopped me in my tracks. "So. Super. Cute." were likely the exact words uttered.

Soon to find its way into a simple black frame, I hope this film envelope lives a long, happy life on my studio walls. One for Me, two for You... now available at ABLE + BAKER.

Mother's Day Hangover

Good morning, I hope you enjoyed a fantastic Mother's Day. Me? I'm recovering from a wonderful whirlwind-of-a-weekend with my family.

I intended to share these images with you yesterday, but lost track of time somewhere in between making this super tasty dessert, chasing nephews around the yard, coordinating a BBQ feast with my brother, and helping my other brother's adorable family move into their new home. It was quite a weekend.

I love so much about these images. They're from the Owner's Manual that came with my parent's first refrigerator, in their first home together. I love to remember that my parents were once newlyweds, a little family of two, like Me and Josh. When they brought this refrigerator home, they knew nothing of the thousands of happy moments they would share with their children and grandchildren.

Happy day-after Mother's Day Mom. You're a star.

SFMOMA Artist's Gallery Warehouse Event

I am proud to be participating in this year's Warehouse Event, which kicked off last night and will run through Sunday, May 9. Each year the SFMOMA Artist's Gallery invites 300 Artists to participate, and let me share with you how it feels to be 1 of the 300... it's nice. really. very. nice.

Last week, I volunteered at the Gallery and it was so much fun. I helped check-in artwork, and got to peruse much of the work for sale. Truthfully, the amount of really cool artwork I saw was a bit overwhelming. Does it make any sense to think that the last day of the sale would be the best day to go, for the simple reason that there's less to choose from?

As if the array of artwork isn't enough, the Gallery itself is situated in Fort Mason Center, with a picturesque view of the water and Golden Gate Bridge.
